A BIT ABOUT US
Here at Little Art Park, we see the value in adding more art and nature experience to lives of families with young children.

We meet in a variety of outdoor locations on the NW side of Grand Rapids. Each Sunday from 11-12p families come from all over Kent county and beyond. Kids from ages 0-8 create with us and we love that this is a set time (for our family and yours!) to put away the electronics and simply play and explore together.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER TEAM
We are a team of two nature and art enthusiasts.
A spunky 2yo, Rudy, who tests out projects and a fun-loving mom, Veronica, who coordinates.
Both born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
In February this year I decided to proactively engage with, and build a community that supported and encouraged children’s innate artistic talents and got kids outside playing together in nature. I made a $500 budget and got to work!
Initially Little Art Park was a group meant to serve my neighbors during the pandemic. We had planned to meet at our neighborhood park, Richmond Park, to connect and support families closest to home. However, given the permit process and fees involved in creating a special event in the park that never happened. Like most things in life, the future has a way of changing things.
Today we are meeting, but in a variety of outdoor locations, each Sunday with families coming from all over Kent county and beyond. Kids from ages 0-8 create with us and we love that this is a set time (for our family and yours!) to put away the electronics and simply play and explore together.
Each week we look forward to creating new art with all of you. We’re having so fun and love meeting other families who want to encourage their kids to play outside more and be creative together! So until the budget runs dry the outdoor art continues. Thank you for following our journey and being a part of our group. You make each Sunday an extra special day to look forward to!
